So when you hear this autumn song
Clear your heads and get ready to run
So when you hear this autumn song
Remember the best times are yet to come
Manic Street Preachers
This design was inspired by the wonderful autumn colours of the trees around beautiful Perthshire where I used to live. The pattern itself based on skeleton leaves which Ive always had a fascination for! The sweater body and sleeves are knitted bottom up and in the round. They are then joined to create the yoke. A few decrease rows are worked at the armscyes for ensure a close fit. The yoke patterning is then worked with decreases included in the last few rows for shaping. Short rows are added to raise the back neck ensuring a better fit. My Autumnsong Beanie pattern knits to the same gauge so can be a wearable swatch to ensure gauge is met or to try your own favourite colour combinations.
