About Beginner's Beret
This attractive hat is a great starter kit for knitting a beret in the round. It's a good introduction for using colour, knitting in the round and decreasing at the crown. After this, you will be confident enough to knit any of those gorgeous Fair Isle berets such as our Autumn and Midnight Tams as the pattern gives comprehensive instructions.You will need a set of 3.25 dpns. You might like to use a circular needle for the main part of the beret in which case you will need a set of 60cm, 3.25 needles as well.
