For Shetland Summer I played with elements of the Shetland Lace Knitting tradition.
In order to create the airy structure of this shawl, I used a lace yarn with a large knitting needle size of 4,5 mm.
Shetland Summer is made in two steps. You knit the outer border first, cast on stitches on the right side and knit the triangle section by steady decrease of the stitch numbers. It was important for me that the corners are well formed and the upper shawl line is straight.
