Can I do a tour of the mill?

We can no longer do regular mill tours due to changes in public liability insurance and health & safety regulations. The only exception to this are those done as part of the Shetland Wool Week program, tickets for these tours can only be booked through the Shetland Wool Week box office.

I’m looking for a specific dye lot. How can I let you know what I need?

Place an order for the yarn and then let us know us what you are looking for by adding a note about the dye lot you are looking for in either the ‘Order Note’ or ‘Special instructions’ section at the checkout.

How much will shipping on my order cost?

Delivery cost depends on the overall weight of your order & our system is designed to calculate shipping costs automatically. Full information can be found in our Shipping Policy.

Is duty included in the price?

No, duty is not included in the cost. You will be contacted by customs in your country to arrange payment. Do you do commission knitwear orders?

No, our production is already running at full capacity and we cannot manage offer this type of service.

Can I order yarn on a cone?

Yes, you can order yarn on a cone by calling or emailing to place an order.

What is the difference between Spindrift & Double Knitting?

Spindrift is a 4ply/fingering weight equivalent, traditionally used for Fair Isles knitting in Shetland. DK is a standard double knitting weight yarn and is suitable for most DK or sport weight patterns.
