Our Double Knitting yarn is a standard DK weight. It's available in the same 225 colours as Spindrift.

Shetland Heather

This soft spun Aran weight yarn is ideal for textured and cable knits. Available in 40 heathered colours, which give the finished garment a real sparkle!

Supplied in 50g Doughnuts, approximately 92m.

Tension: 10cm square - 16-22sts x 20-24rows on 4-5mm needles

 

Shetland Marl

This chunky yarn is a bulky weight equivalent and a real joy to knit with. Available in the same range of colours as Shetland Heather and also 6 stunning tweeds.

Supplied in 100g Doughnuts, approximately 120m.

Tension: 10cm square - 15sts x 22rows on 6mm needles

 

Ultra and Cobweb Ultra

Our only blended yarn.

This very fine 2ply yarn has been specially developed for lace knitting. A blend of 50% G1 Shetland & 50% lambswool gives it a very soft finish against the skin, making it perfect for baby garments and traditional Shetland 'haps'.

Supplied in 25g Balls, approximately 194m.

Ultra Tension: 10cm square - 25sts x 30rows on 3.25mm needles

Cobweb is the single ply version, suitable for the famous Shetland 'wedding ring' shawls - definitely not for the faint hearted!

Supplied in 25g Balls, approximately 380m

Cobweb Tension - 30sts x 48rows on 3mm needles.

 

Weaving Yarn

Single ply 12c Gala count (4.8nm) yarn, perfect for weaving.

Sold in 500g cones, approximate length 2300m.
