Stranded colourwork mittens. The pattern is written for four colours, but you can use less or more colours as you wish. You never use more than two colours in one round.
You need fingering yarn in four colours for size woman medium you need 60-70 m of each of colour C1, C2 and C3, 45 m of C4. For the smaller size, youll need a little less and for the larges size a little more.
All colours should have a relatively good contrast between them, but C2 and C3 are not used together in the same round, so if you have two colours with a little less contrast, it should be these two.
The pattern comes in three sizes:
Woman small (woman medium) man medium
Different sizes are achieved by differences in gauge:
Stitches /rounds in 10 cm: 34/38 (30/35) 28/32
Stitch count cuff: 48 sts
Stitch count mitten body: 60 sts
